SMOKEY MOUNTAIN GETAWAY

Asheville, North Carolina is one of the most beautiful places to visit in this country.  Our National RV Owners Club members took full advantage of this opportunity and before our party started happening, we had 150+ rigs already parked and ready to play tourist.  Fortunately, we were able to provide electrical service to all of them, which was greatly appreciated as the weather and humidity in the summer are ever-present.

For our welcome party, we had prizes, great food and wonderful entertainment by the “Can’t Hardly Play Boys”.  Not true!  It was traditional country/western played by some of the best.  The local talent always amazes us and they appreciate the enthusiastic welcome they receive from our members.

We had our informative seminars, games, a wonderful golf tournament, and the ever-exciting bingo with some terrific prizes.  People won everything from Wal-Mart Gift Cards to fuel cards.  National is always generous with their support and being a winner is fun for everybody.

Ron and Kay Rivoli kept us laughing and applauding with their parodies on the RV lifestyle.  On the serious side, they both have great voices and when they mix it all up, there is something for everybody.  They are truly part of our family and loved by all.

The National Service Technicians were on hand to do minor repairs on the members’ coaches.  As always, they do a tremendous job and we can’t thank them enough.

Brian from Cutting Edge Catering kept us all well-fed.  We know that nobody goes away hungry from one of his meals.  We all have come to expect the best and he always comes through for us. 

Our new show coaches included the introduction of the Pacifica.  It is always fun to see the excitement generated when a new product is brought on-line.  It gives us all something to dream about. 

In addition to a full four-day party, the club members were touring the Biltmore Mansion, shopping downtown Asheville, exploring the local farmers markets, and learning to love the beautiful Smokey Mountains.  This area is a national treasure and we feel fortunate that so many of our friends took advantage of the opportunity to spend time with us and the friendly people of Asheville.
